So nicely stated. The evolution of health and medical advances takes time and rigor. Engaging trusted advocates to bring forward the evidence with reinforcing personalized and emotive storytelling can have a powerful impact.

Excellent summary of the desperate need for critical thinking, not just in medicine/science.

As a residency director, I had clinical pharmacists “counter-detail” everything drug-reps presented so our residents would learn healthy skepticism and critical appraisal skills. Would love a common-sense counter-detailing influencer of the latest hyped products.

We all know which side of the equation Bryan Johnson falls on. For someone spending millions of dollars to purportedly live forever, very few of his interventions are actually based on reproducible science.

A wonderful statement. I am tempted to post this link each and every time I happen upon a post that declares "Breaking News!" followed by yet another off-label "cure" for advanced this or that with dish soap, ivermectin, and the requisite rubber mallet. Thank you a bit of sanity.
